Fresh concern over unseasonal overcrowding at SUH

There's renewed concern over the level of overcrowding at Sligo University hospital at the height of summer. 

It comes as the hospital was the second most overcrowded in Ireland today, with 47 people awaiting admission this morning. 

The hospital is only surpassed only by Limerick at 94. 

It has sparked major concern ahead of the winter months, where overcrowding at Sligo and elsewhere is traditionally at its worst. 

Local Fianna Fail Cllr Donal Gilroy says better year round planning is clearly needed:
