Yesterday the HSE issued an apology over the latest issue that impacted Sligo's Theatre

 

In a statement issued to Ocean FM they say window replacement is underway in the theatre at Sligo University Hospital and is expected to be completed this week.

 

Unfortunately, this means that one orthopaedic theatre is not functional and only trauma (emergency) inpatient activity will be taking place this week.

 

HSE West and North West has apologised to those affected and anyone whose surgery has been postponed has been contacted directly by the hospital.

 

A family member of a Sligo man who has now had four hip surgery operations postponed at short notice has been telling her story to North West Today:
