Only 6 beds remain open at Killybegs Community Hospital, despite a commitment from the Minister of State for Older People to reopen the facility to its capacity.

 

Minister Kieran O'Donnell previously pledged that once staff became available the beds would be made operational.

 

However it appears that little progress has since been made on this, with 7 beds remaining closed.

 

Speaking in the Seanad, Donegal Fine Gael Senator Manus Boyle said people in Southwest Donegal are getting impatient:
