The Garda Commissioner is facing pressure over Garda numbers in south Donegal.

 

There’s serious concern over the level of Garda personnel in the area, with no new recruits being stationed there recently combined with a number of upcoming retirements.

 

Sinn Fein Cllr Noel Jordan believes there’s a worrying trend developing locally.

 

A letter is to be sent to the Commissioner over the matter.

 

Cllr Jordan says local Garda management also share in the concerns and he’s calling for the area to be prioritised going forward:
