The Department of Education has confirmed it is considering purchasing the former primary care centre in Cliffoney. 

Cliffoney Primary School is located right beside the site of the former primary care centre in the village and the school community has had long-standing parking issues. 

It's thought that purchasing the site would alleviate major school safety concerns. 

The Department received an application under the Department's Additional School Accommodation Scheme from Cliffoney National School and that its currently under assessment.

Independent Cllr Marie Casserly says it makes total sense:
