Mystery is said to surround a number of sheep washed up in west Donegal.

 

A number of dead sheep were discovered on a beach in the Falcarragh area while a dead lamb was also found on a beach in Dunfanaghy.

 

It comes as Donegal County Council is urging dog owners to keep their pets under control during lambing season.

 

They say sheep are particularly vulnerable during this time of year.

 

Local Cllr Michael McClafferty is keeping an open mind over what happened the dead sheep, but he also has his suspicions:
