The Health Minister is under increasing pressure to fast track promised infrastructure at Sligo University Hospital.

 

There's ongoing concern over funding to fit out the new oncology day unit while there's also questions over progress on the new surgical hub.

 

A case is also to be made for a new orthopaedic theatre in Sligo with work underway to make a formal submission for Capital approval.

 

The issues were raised in the Dail by Sligo Leitrim Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon
