Council emergency staff will be on standby again today as the region grapples with the possibility of more thunderstorms.

There's a further risk of localised flooding, hail damage and difficult travelling conditions along with potential outages to power and water supplies throughout the day. 

It's after the region was hit with intense thunder and lightning last night. 

Director of Emergency Services at Donegal County Council Garry Martin says the local authority will be ready to respond to any incidents should they occur:
