The cost of installing public water refill stations across Sligo would be significant. 

It follows calls for such infrastructure to be installed in various town centres and areas of high footfall in the County. 

However, Sligo County Council has stressed this would be a huge expense, and it doesn't have the funds to do it. 

Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says that's disappointing and hopes the proposal can be further explored:
