Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey is the new Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council. 

He places Fianna Fail Cllr Donal Gilroy who held the role for the past 12 months. 

This is Cllr Mulveys second time to hold the position of Cathoirleach. 

Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh has been elected Leas-Cathaoirleach.
