The July meeting of the Manorhamilton MD of Leitrim County Council will hear fresh concerns over Vape Shops.

Independent Councillor James Gilmartin wants the Local Authority to conduct a comprehensive audit of the external signage and window displays of all vape shops across County Leitrim, with particular regard to compliance with planning regulations, advertising standards, and public health legislation. 

He says the audit should assess the visibility and nature of promotional material, especially where it may appeal to children and young people.

 Cllr Gilmartin says the Council should provide a report outlining findings, any enforcement actions and recommendations to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the county.
