A GoFundMe page for a Killybegs family whose house was gutted by fire has now reached almost 71 thousand euro.

Fire fighters battled the blaze for several hours on Thursday night with a local road closed for a time during the incident. 

While no injuries were reported, the house in question has been destroyed as a result of the fire. 

The Donegal Firefighters Association have launched a Go Fund Me campaign to help the family in the time ahead.
