A new Autism Spectrum Disorder class is to be provided at Lough Allen College in Drumkeeran.

It's set to be in place for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

Fianna Fail Cllr Mary Bohan says the development represents a significant and positive step forward for students and families in the Drumkeerin area and across North Leitrim.

She says there are families who have been needing such support locally for some time and this will now ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and reach their full potential within their own community:
