No road projects in the Ballymote Tubbercurry MD are to be shelved this year.

 

There's ongoing concern county-wide that a sharp rise in the cost of materials, has left a question mark over a number of planned projects for 2026.

 

However it's been confirmed that all works on the current programme in west and south Sligo will be completed this year.

 

Cathaoirleach of the Ballymote Tubbercurry MD and Fianna Fail Cllr Barry Gallagher says the future remains uncertain:
