 A Sligo based Junior Minster says that while it would be foolish not to take heed of the latest warning from the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council all major infrastructure projects in the North West will proceed as planned. 


The budget watchdog is warning the Government against overspending.


It says the Government is facing challenges from a growing and aging population and says spending increases will lead to further inflation and cost of living pressures.

Minster of State at the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, Frank Feighan says not advancing projects such as upgrading the N17 would be counter productive.
