 

The Model in Sligo will receive €7,500 in funding under the Government’s ‘After Hours at the Museum’ scheme.

 

The funding will allow The Model to extend opening hours to at least 9pm, making it more accessible to workers, families and young people who cannot attend during the day.

 

The initiative is aimed at increasing footfall in Sligo town centre and supporting the development of a stronger night-time economy beyond pubs and restaurants.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Thomas Walsh said the investment is a welcome boost that will help make Sligo’s cultural offering more vibrant, inclusive and active after dark.
