A Sligo Councillor has written a letter to the Taoiseach, among others, demanding that road deaths and serious injuries be treated as a national emergency.

 

Councillor Marie Casserly penned the letter recently to ask for the creation of a task force aimed at reducing road fatalities.

 

In the year to date, 100 people have died on Irish roads.
