Many cemeteries in North Sligo are said to be at capacity.

 

It has led to Rathcormac Cemetery being the only suitable burial ground in the area for new burial plots.

 

Efforts have been made by Sligo County Council to provide a new graveyard in the region but progress currently slow.

 

Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy says a single large cemetery is not the answer:
