A Sligo Fine Gael Cllr has accused the Government of being too slow in delivering various supports for people.

The measures will see payments of between 200 and 1,200 euro per vehicle to hauliers, and a 10c a litre cut to petrol and diesel.

Separate supports have been approved for the agriculture sector.

The increase in the carbon tax planned for May has also been deferred until October.

But local Cllr Thomas Walsh says the measures don't go far enough
