A member of the Regional Health Forum has encouraged CAMHS services in the north west to play their part in improving the service.

 

The Mental Health Commission has opened a six-week public consultation this morning to inform its development of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

 

It wants to hear from children going through the system along with their families to ensure they receive high-quality, rights-based care.

 

The consultation process takes place as services for Children and Young People in the North West are believed to be under increasing pressure.

 

Sligo Councillor, Edel McSharry is urging service users to engage with CAMHS. 

 

The Fianna Fáil councillor says there is a genuine desire to implement change.
