Tributes are being paid to former Fianna Fail Sligo Cllr Tom MacSharry who is set to become a District Court Judge.

 

He's set to be appointed by the President shortly along with a number of other nominees, owing to some vacancies and upcoming retirements.

 

It means he can no longer continue working as a local representative and resigned from Sligo County Council yesterday.
