Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, Sligo Abbey will revive an ancient tradition, welcoming the public for a free afternoon of tours and family activities.

Visitors can enjoy refreshments, a children’s treasure hunt, and a special talk on the enduring legacy of St. Patrick and the Dominicans.

The Abbey, Sligo’s oldest standing medieval building, opens for the 2026 season on March 14th, following last year’s record 45,000 visitors.
