The speed in which some motorists are travelling past a south Donegal school is said to be frightening.
It comes as the TII is being urged to assess traffic conditions at the junction by Keelogs National School in Inver.
Parents and staff at the school are said to be seriously concerned over the risk of a crash in the area.
Speaking in the Seanad, Fine Gael Senator Manus Boyle says a survey during peak times must be carried out as soon as possible.
He is warning that without intervention by the TII, it's only a matter of time before a serious incident happens:
