Senator Nessa Cosgrove has reiterated calls made by fellow Labour colleague Ann Higgins for measures to ensure the site can remain open to visitors all year round.

 

A six-week extension to the opening season has been welcomed, but concerns remain over closures and their wider impact.

 

Speaking In the Seanad, Senator Nessa Cosgrove says it leaves staff in a very precarious position where they have to sign on and find new jobs, which makes no sense.
