Faded road markings at the roundabout on the bridge in Ballisodare are being raised as a safety concern.

The markings are said to have deteriorated significantly over the past 12 to 18 months.

The busy stretch of the N59 near schools, homes and businesses could cause confusion for unfamiliar drivers.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cathaoirleach of the Sligo-Drumcliff MD, Marie Casserly says the area engineer has committed to inspecting the roundabout and any required upgrades will be added to the road programme.
