The Education Minister is facing further calls reverse a decision in not allocating an additional teacher to Calry National School.

 

Despite a surge in enrolments, an application to provide an extra teacher at the school was refused.

 

It means around 17 local children may be without a school place this coming September and will have to attend a school elsewhere.

 

A letter from the school principal outlining their plight was handed over to the Minister during her recent visit to Sligo.

 

Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says the school must be supported and this decision has to be reversed:
