The respective Fire Departments from the three local authorities in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal say there were not major incidents to report from last night's bonfire celebrations.
Concern had been expressed that there was a possibility with the warm temperatures and ground very dry at present that large fires could have got out of control.
All three fire Departments however have reported that there were no significant incidents and thanked the public for their cooperation and efforts in keeping fires to a minimum.
Director of services with Donegal County Council is Garry Martin. He is urging the public to remain vigilant over the coming days as the high temperatures continue.
