Donegal's Liquid Therapy has joined European partners in a new €2.9 million project to create the first inclusive and sustainable surfing route across Ireland, Portugal, Spain and France.

The initiative aims to improve accessibility along the Atlantic coastline and make surfing and ocean experiences available to people of all abilities.

As part of the project, Liquid Therapy will help assess accessibility in the North West, host adaptive surf events and introduce new accessible equipment and training programmes.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Patrick Cassidy, Project Officer with Liquid Therapy, says the project will help break down barriers and position the North West as a world-leading destination for accessible surf tourism.
