€68,500 in government funding has been allocated to support 7 agricultural shows across Sligo and Leitrim this summer.

 

The funding forms part of a €1 million national investment supporting 126 shows across Ireland.

 

Shows in Beltra, Enniscrone, Grange, Riverstown, Ballinamore, Manorhamilton and Mohill will all receive grants to help with running costs.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Minister Frank Feighan says the funding helps bring communities together and support the volunteers who organise the shows.
