A North West based Junior Minister says raising the point at which people pay the higher rate of tax in each of the next four budgets is a measure to help people through the current cost of living crisis.

 

Finance Minister, Simon Harris has confirmed that he will raise the threshold at which people pay the higher rate of tax in each of the next four budgets.

 

Minster of state and Sligo Leitrim Deputy Frank Feighan says the increases will help reward those who work.

 

In the following interview Minister Feighan also addresses the ongoing saga over the decision taken by Iarnrod Eireann to prioritise a greenway as opposed to restoring the railway on the track between Collooney and Bellaghy.
