A North West Representative for the GRA has welcomed the fact that Gardaí are preparing to expand the use of body cameras across the country.

 

The use of the cameras has already been trailed in a number of regions including Dublin, Limerick and Waterford.

 

 

 

It was confirmed today that 150 million euro will be spent on rolling out body-worn cameras and an advanced digital evidence management network over the next 15 years.

 

 

Brendan O Connor, Local Rep for the Garda Representative Association says it's a welcome move.
