Local Councillor wants people to have the option of living in Sligo

 

 

Sligo people should be able to live and work in the County and no have to emigrate.

 

That's according to People Before Profit Cllr Gino O'Boyle who has been speaking as part of the Affordable Ireland Campaign.

Its calling for new supports for workers struggling with the cost of living in next month's Budget.

 

Opposition parties, trade unions and student groups are backing a rally planned for September 19th with a local demonstration also a possibility.
