 

There are calls for better communication between the Government and Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré over plans for a new school building.

 

It comes the Education Minister was in Sligo last week, where she visited the school to see first-hand the conditions staff and pupils are subjected to.

 

The school has moved the phase 2b and Minister Hildegarde Naughton has committed to working to ensure the project moves on at a fast pace to ensure the school is added to the second phase of the school building capital programme.

 

But Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says it's clear that up until now, the school has not been communicated with appropriately that needs to change as a matter of urgency:
