The proposal includes targeted tax credits or PRSI incentives for employers who offer flexible work opportunities to students balancing academic commitments and rising living costs.

 

The motion, which was unanimously supported by Sligo County Council, has received responses from Government ministers and is expected to form part of wider discussions on student supports.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Edel McSharry says many students are eager to work but struggle to find jobs that can accommodate their college schedules.
