A Leitrim TD has described the recent fuel support measures announced yesterday by the government as not going far enough to ease the pressure for people in several sectors.

 

Deputy Martin Kenny says those that use home heating oil to heat their homes have been ignored by the government.

 

The Sinn Fein Deputy says farmers and fishermen have also been abounded with no specific measures being introduced to address costs that are impacting their respective sectors.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM news the party spokesperson on agriculture says many rebates issued to the haulage should have also been extended.
