A Councillor in Leitrim is urging the Local Authority to review town’s shops retail strategy.

 

Fine Gael councillor Enda McGloin warned that more shops need to be attracted and retained to sustain and avail of an increased footfall of visitors to the county.

 

Cllr McGloin also expressed concern with a number of shops selling similar products being allowed to trade in the same towns.

 

The Drumshanbo based councillor says intervention is needed to protect the industries of many towns in Leitrim.
