The May meeting of the local Authority in Leitrim has heard calls for clarity to be provided on how private home care services are overseen.


Fianna Fail councillor Gary Prior looked to establish what checks are carried out on new staff when they are hired and what steps are taken to establish how suitably qualified they are to cater for the needs of vulnerable patients in some cases.


Speaking to Ocean FM news Cllr Prior says there are concerns that standards may be sliding.
