A Leitrim Councillor is calling on the Minister for Health and the HSE to provide funding for a dedicated MS Ireland Community support worker in the Sligo/Leitrim region.

 

The North West Counties are understood to be the only counties in the entire country without such a service.

 

 

Councillor Brendan Barry says there are 300 people living with MS in this area and they need and deserve a support worker.

 

The Sinn Fein Councillor says having a dedicated MS support worker in the region would help improve the lives of many of those living with the condition:
