Newly elected Leas Cathaoirleach Thomas Walsh says speeding up major infrastructure projects across Sligo will be a key priority over the next 12 months.
Councillor Walsh also wants to see increased investment in local roads, public transport infrastructure and housing adaptation grants.
He is calling for progress on projects including the Eastern Garavogue Bridge, beach facilities and active travel improvements across the county.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Thomas Walsh said he is looking forward to a busy year delivering investment and improvements for the people of Sligo.
