A community group in Kinlough is aiming to host the country’s earliest St Patrick’s Day celebrations tonight.

The town’s first ever parade will step off just seconds after midnight from the Community Centre and travel along Main Street.

Locals and visitors are invited to gather from 11pm, with tea, cake and music planned after the parade.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Justin Warnock says he hopes the unique midnight St Patrick’s Day parade will be the first of many for Kinlough.
