The Justice Minister is defending his communications strategy during last month’s fuel protests.

 

Widespread disruption impacted several town including some locally during the protests that were staged to highlight the impact rising fuel prices were having.

 

Jim O Callaghan announced the deployment of the Defence Forces, before an official request had been made for its assistance.

 

Its also understood Defence Minister Helen McEntee was not made aware of the decision ahead of time.
