Over €750,000 in Community Monuments Funding has been allocated in the north west.

11 projects throughout the region are set to benefit from the new funding allocation, with €390,000 designated for Sligo, over €125,000 for Leitrim, and over €240,000 for Donegal.

The Fund aims to support a range of initiatives to conserve and promote local monuments.

Speaking to ocean FM Independent Cllr James Gilmartin says this funding will make a huge difference to the local historical sites.
