t’s being reported that the Irish citizens from the Global Flotilla who are being held by Israel after they were forcibly detained earlier this week are being deported to Turkey.

 

They are expected to be met by Irish Embassy representatives when they arrive in Turkey.

 

It's estimated that there were around 15 Irish citizens on board the flotilla, among them Sligo based GP Dr Margaret Connolly, sister of President of Ireland Catherine Connolly.

 

Michelle Breenan Shyabo was the Leitrim directory of elections for Catherine Connolly in last year's Presidential election.

 

She says she won’t relax until Margaret Connolly and all those detained from the flotilla are released.

 

The former local Election candidate says the behaviour of some Israeli Minsters recently has left a lot to be desired:
