A former Leitrim County councillor is expressing concern that the anti-greenway sentiment being expressed by politicians locally is damaging the tourism potential of the entire North West Region.

 

The comments from Sean McDermott come as a backlash over the proposed plan to use the Western Rail Corridor for the Greenway at the expense of the rail project continuing to Sligo has intensified in recent days.
