It's emerged that a south Donegal school will be forced to choose which child will receive SNA support this coming September.

 

It’s claimed that SNAs at Scoil Aodh Rua agus Nuala - National School - Donegal Town are to be reduced by 2.5 for the new academic year.

 

The Department of Education is pausing the review into SNA allocations but insists process will lead to 1,700 more SNAs overall in the upcoming academic year.

 

Speaking to the Taoiseach in the Dail, 100% Redress Party Donegal TD Charles Ward is adamant that the move will come at a real human cost and called for a specific review into the Donegal Town School:

 

 

 

In response to the comments, Michael Martin says it’s his view if a call is made to remove SNAs from a school, it should be gradual:
