The plight of Donegal’s Aaron Langan was raised in the Dáil and a meeting of the Regional Health Forum yesterday.

 

 

The nine year old is currently waiting access to life-changing medication.

 

Speaking during a motion on disability services in the Dáil, Deputy, Pearse Doherty highlighted the cases of Aaron Langan and Diarmuid O’Sullivan, who both live with DMD.

 

The Sinn Fein TD outlined how the boys require medication which can slow the progression of their condition.

 

The Sinn Fein Party spokesperson on finance was among a large crowd of people that attended an event in support of Aaron in Donegal on Sunday evening.

 

 He told the Dáil how Aaron has now lost his ability to walk, and is still unable to access the drug which received EU approval last year due to the government failing with people with disabilities.
