The Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport says he believes there is still a commitment within the GAA, the LGFA and the Camogie Association to push on with the integration of the men’s and women’s codes.

 

Donegal TD and Junior Minister Charlie McConalogue made the remarks following the resignation of former president Mary McAleese as chair of the group leading the integration.

 

 

Minister McConalogue along with Sport Minister Patrick O’Donovan met with representatives of the three associations this week.

 

The respective organisations will be asked to provide quarterly updates to the Oireachtas on the process.
