Donegal has received the highest level of funding in the country, with more than €30.9 million allocated to refurbish 542 vacant homes.

 

Across Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim, more than 900 properties have been brought back into use through the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant.

 

Nationally more than €348 million has been paid out through the scheme, helping return over 6,300 empty homes to use.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cathaoirleach of the Donegal MD and Independent Cllr Jimmy Brogan says the figures show the continued effort to bring vacant properties back into homes across the North West.
