Prices across Donegal in particular are said to have surged dramatically in recent days, with some suppliers increasing prices by as much as 20-30% overnight.

 

There are also claims on social media indicating that other oil companies in Leitrim are also increasing prices this week.

 

Any price increase at the pumps in the region this week is said to be down to profiteering and not instability in the Middle East.

 

Donegal County Councillor Gary Doherty says the Government need to introduce urgent measures to help struggling homeowners:
