Bereaved families who lost loved ones in the Creeslough explosion are travelling to Dublin later as they continue to push for a public inquiry alongside the ongoing Garda investigation.

 

Today’s event will be hosted by Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald.

Families will discuss the lasting effects of the tragedy on their lives, their search for answers in the years since the explosion, and the reasons they are seeking the establishment of a full public inquiry.

 

The event follows on from a meeting the families had earlier in the year with a number Sinn Fein representatives.

 

 

Ten people died in the blast at a petrol station in County Donegal in October 2022.

 

Donna Harper’s 14 year old daughter Leona was one of them.
